The start of the half term break may have delivered a few more clouds, wind drizzle than we’d hoped for, but at BA English Tuition, the atmosphere remained bright thanks to our hardworking and reflective tutees. With just the final English Language Paper 2 left for our GCSE students, we are more than aware that our brilliant Year 10s are gearing up for their own summer mock exams, whilst our key stage 3 tutees are preparing for their end-of-year assessments. The work doesn’t stop—but neither does the progress!
🎯 Year 10 Mocks: What’s the Point?
We know that for some students, the idea of a Year 10 mock exam can feel like a lot. But these mock exams aren’t about being perfect. They’re about building experience. They’re a crucial opportunity to practise applying everything learned so far in timed conditions, to receive specific feedback, and to begin developing the exam confidence that’s so vital in Year 11. Mistakes are useful. In fact, that’s what these exams are for: to identify gaps early and start plugging them now, long before the real thing rolls around next year. Another bank holiday… another BBQ! Bradley’s back on the grill perfecting his signature honey-glazed chicken and Paddington Bear is top of the agenda this coming weekend as we board a steam train to meet him in Maldon. We’re hoping it’s more charming than chaotic. Meanwhile, tuition continues at pace as we support our students through the final half term of the year. Let's bring it home.
